Disciples Men meet every 3rd Saturday of the month at 8 am for breakfast and study.
Backyard Mission
Backyard Mission is an outreach of First Christian Church, Parsons, KS. It is designed to offer assistance to members of the congregation who need simple home repairs and maintentance done, and do not have the physical or monetary ability to accomplish them.
Mission Statement
Backyard Mission is organized to minister to the members of First Christian Church by doing simple home repair and maintenance, using volunteer labor and buying materials with donated money.
How it works:
--Backyard Mission identifies people who need and want repairs on their houses, but are unable to provide for the need themselves.
--The director of Backyard Mission meets with the person to discuss what projects might be done and to set a work date.
--The work team provides materials or money needed for the project.
--Backyard Mission oversees the work done on the house, and makes sure that is is completed in a satisfactory manner.
Opportunities for Participating in Backyard Mission
1.Work on a team of volunteers doing minor repairs

4. Provide refreshments or meal to those on work team
